The rules for using Outcrawl: what you may point a browser at, what you owe us, and what happens if either side breaks the deal.
Last updated 8 October 2026
01
These terms are the agreement between you and Aeonmind LLC, trading as Outcrawl (we, us), for use of the Outcrawl API, console, CLI, MCP server, SDKs and related services (together, the service). Creating an account, calling the API with a key issued to you, or otherwise using the service means you accept these terms, on your own behalf and, if you are acting for an organisation, on its behalf too.
If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms sit alongside our privacy policy and our security page, which describe what we do with your data and how we protect it.
02
You sign in with a Google or GitHub account. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and under any API key issued to it, whether the action was taken by you, by someone you gave access to, or by an agent you instructed.
An API key looks like ock_<keyId>.<secret>. Its secret half is shown once, at the moment the key is created, and cannot be shown again by you, by us, or by our support team: we keep only a digest of it. Keep it out of client-side code, public repositories and logs. If a key is exposed, revoke it from the console and issue a new one; a revoked key stops working everywhere within a minute.
Keep your account information accurate and current. Do not share an account across unrelated organisations, and do not open a new account to work around a suspension on an old one.
03
You may point the service at a page you are authorised to reach: a page you own, a page that is publicly reachable, or a page a target site has agreed you may reach programmatically. What you build on top, a scrape, a crawl, a search, an agent that drives a browser, is yours to design. What we ask in return is narrow and specific.
Operate within limits. Stay inside the rate limits, concurrency limits and any per-target constraints your plan sets. Do not use the service to send a volume of traffic at a destination that a reasonable operator would read as an attack rather than a visit. Where a destination site publishes crawl directives or rate expectations and you are bound by them, whether by law, by a robots file, or by an agreement with that site, follow them: the service gives you the technical means to render a page, and the decision to point it somewhere, and on what terms, is yours.
No unauthorised access. Do not use the service to reach a system, account or document you are not authorised to enter, including by defeating a login, a paywall, or another access control that is not yours to open. Circumventing authentication you do not own is a breach of these terms whether or not it succeeds.
No illegal use. Do not use the service where doing so is illegal in your jurisdiction or the target’s: this covers unauthorised computer access under laws like the CFAA and its equivalents elsewhere, infringing a third party’s intellectual property, processing personal data with no lawful basis for it, and retrieving, generating or storing content whose possession is itself illegal, including child sexual abuse material. We report the last of these to the relevant authorities and close the account without notice.
No attacks on the service itself. Do not attempt to defeat the credit metering, the account or plan limits, or the API key model. Do not probe, scan or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our infrastructure or another customer’s data. Do not submit tasks designed to make an agent write, retrieve or run malware.
An agent is your agent. A task you submit runs on your account and your credit balance, and what it does while carrying out that task is treated as something you did, whether you wrote the exact steps or gave it a goal and let it decide the steps itself.
04
Plans, prices and credit rates are published on our pricing page and form part of these terms. The plan you choose sets your monthly credit allowance; anything beyond it is added to your account as agreed with us.
Except where the law says otherwise, fees paid and credits already granted are not refundable, including a balance left unused when an account closes. We may change published prices and rates for future usage; a change never reaches back to credits you have already spent.
Enterprise agreements are negotiated directly and take precedence over these terms wherever the two conflict.
05
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach the acceptable use section, if payment is overdue, if the law requires it, or if your account poses a security risk to the service or to another customer. Where it is practical to do so before acting, we will tell you why.
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. Closing an account does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid or credits already granted, except where the law requires one.
Sections that by their nature should survive closing an account do: what you owe us, intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
06
We own the service: the software, the browser we operate, the API, the console, the documentation, and the Outcrawl name and marks. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you beyond the licence to use the service as intended.
You own what is yours going in and what comes out: your account data, the tasks and instructions you submit, and the pages, text and structured content the service returns to you. You grant us only the licence we need to process that content in order to carry out your request.
If you send us an idea, a feature request or other feedback, we may use it to improve the service without owing you anything for it.
07
The service is provided as it stands. We do not promise that a given page will always be reachable, that its content will render the same way twice, or that a destination site will treat a request from our infrastructure the way it treats any other visit: a live web changes pages, defences and availability on its own schedule, and reliability is our goal, not a guarantee we can make about someone else’s site.
To the extent the law allows it, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost data, and our total liability arising from the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or $100 if you are on a plan with no fees. Nothing here limits liability where the law does not allow a limit, including for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
08
You will defend and indemnify us against a claim, cost or loss arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms, from content you are responsible for, or from your violation of a law or a third party’s rights, including a target site’s own terms where you were bound by them and chose to proceed anyway.
09
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and a dispute not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware. Both parties consent to that jurisdiction and waive any objection to venue there.
10
You may not assign or transfer these terms, or your account, without our written consent, and an attempt to do so without it is void. We may assign these terms as part of a merger, an acquisition, or a sale of substantially all our assets, and will tell you if we do.
11
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will move the date at the top of this page when we do, and for a change we consider material we will make a reasonable effort to tell account holders directly, by email, before it takes effect. Using the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
